The End of Cold War: An Analysis Cold War should be considered as one of the most important events that stirred the global political world and it should be considered as an event the end of which reshaped the socio-economic and political structure of myriads of nations across the globe. The end of the Cold War ensured the demise of the Soviet instigated communism and the rise of democracy once again. But it should be noted that just like the emergence of the Cold War the end of the Cold War was not a sudden event and several events culminated into such a conclusion. Moreover, President Trumanââ¬â¢s dislike of Stalin, USSRââ¬â¢s fear of the American atomic bomb, the nationââ¬â¢s aversion to the concept and philosophy of capitalism, and its actions in the Soviet zone of Germany, all contributed to the beginning of the Cold War (ââ¬Å"Causes of the Cold War in 1945â⬠, n.d.). The policy of aggression embraced by the USSR against Eastern Europe and simultaneously the fear of USSR about an American attack also culminated into the Cold War (ââ¬Å"Causes of the Cold War in 1945â⬠, n.d.). USSR had the need of securing its western border and it had the aim of spreading communism globally and these two desires also drew the attention of the Western world, the result of which was the initiation of the Cold War (ââ¬Å"Causes of the Cold War in 1945â⬠, n.d.). History of evidence-based approaches Evidence-based policies are traceable to the 14th century, where they were motivated by a desire to discipline the whimsical rule of despots (Banks, 2009). Nevertheless, the most notable shift towards evidence-based approaches occurred in the 1970s and 1980s by those who advocated for a New Public Management (Brian, 2008). The New Public Management employed the use of innovative analytical frameworks in tackling traditional problems, aimed at improving program performance information in each portfolio area. By the 1990s, there was a rise in policy process that was potentially less technocratic and more open to network approaches (Hood, 1991). There was community involvement, multi-stakeholder consultation and collaboration across stakeholder sectors (Brian, 2008). Following this and the development of involving other stakeholders to policy work, the UK Government began to deal with the more complex issues that required comprehensive approaches in the design and delivery of policy ser vices (Freiberg Carson, 2010). Some might prefer car loan more important than the house loan. Some might find more happiness in insuring their lives rather than insuring their property. This can be a major issue which the bank needs to understand (Solomon et al. 2014). The customer goes through different stages before making a decision of availing the product or the services. This includes gathering the information regarding the products, evaluation of the alternative product, purchase of the product or the service and the final step include the evaluation done after buying the products. The customers have many option of the banks. Westpac can face a huge competition from their competitive banks. This is the reason they must prepare an alternate plan that will be liked by their consumer (Claiborne and Sirgy 2015). The failure in understanding the attitude and behavior of the consumers might be included in the process of consumer behavior. The strategies should be formed that can attract many consumers.
